Monday 1 April 2019

Cathal Boylan of Cavan County Council arranged for Dale Treadwell to come into the school on Monday 25th to do a workshop on pollinators.
The children watched a short video on importance of bees and they had a look at some mini beasts through a bug viewer.
They also played a game of Bat and Moth outside which was great fun.
Dale planted some bee pollinator plants with the children in our garden.
They planted a Butterfly Bush also know as a Buddleia, a Foxglove and a Delphinium

Birds Nests

There are lots of birds nesting in the 1st & 2nd classroom this week.
The children made nests from paper plates and shredded paper. They added feathers and and other recycled materials to their nests.

Spring is in the air

Our classroom is full of colourful flowers as 1st and 2nd class made 3D tulips in Art on Friday.
